Pre-painted exterior trim

exterior trim
In the great pacific wet (and west) coast it is important to seal the exterior trim with paint.  One solid coat will ensure the longevity of your work on the outside of the house.  For this we usually set up a paint booth in the garage as soon as it is roofed and pre-paint all outside trim with an exterior grade primer.

This represents a couple of hours of work, which will have to be done regardless, and will keep our wood dry until the summer when it will be painted by the painters.  Sam and Xavier have been motoring along with a great eye for detail and are almost done the facias and barge boards on the whole house.
